Garden Annexe - Richmond Upon Thames
Our latest build is a practical garden annexe, perfectly sized self-contained accommodation to suit one person, with an external size of 6m x 4m.
The building has a spacious lounge/bedroom area, kitchenette with combi oven, hob, sink, space for a washing machine, fridge and a generous size shower room.
This annexe includes plenty of power sockets, smoke alarm, under sink water heater, cat6 data connection and LED down lights.
The roof was finished with a mixed blanket sedum roof, this attractive element in garden design blends the garden room into the landscape more naturally, a sedum roof has many benefits : greater thermal performance, absorbs rainwater, provides a lovely habitat for wildlife, removes carbon dioxide from the air, filtering pollutants including heavy materials from rainwater.
Planning permission and Building Control were obtained on this building, any garden room containing sleeping accommodation requires planning permission and building control, we organise both on our clients behalf, for a full Turnkey solution.
A large amount of trenching for the pumping station, water supply and foul connections were required for this project – see photos.
