Garden Annexe - Bournemouth, Dorset

PROJECT OVERVIEW

A superb Garden Room has been designed and built at the end of the garden.

Building size 7.8 x 4.5m which contains a large room, divided in half by a half height wall and a spacious shower room – creating a valuable extended living space to the family home.

The benefit of a half height wall is that you can place furniture on both sides, this makes great use of internal space.

A useful airing cupboard houses a 125 litre pressurised stored water cylinder, this provides the hot water to the shower and basin and alleviates any pressure dropping issues when someone in the main house is also using water.

EGR provides a total turnkey solution to include all the electrics, drainage, foul and water connections, together with reinforced concrete foundations.  The ground works were extensive with a pumping station to take the foul to the mains and lengthy trenching containing the water supply, armoured cable, foul pipes and cat6 data cable.

Finished off with anthracite grey windows and french doors.  Laminate flooring, fully plastered and painted internally for a contemporary feel.

Building Regulations on the drainage and connections have been signed off by Building Control.  The property was in a conservation area which meant lengthy negotiations with the planning department also required an arboricultural survey, EGR handle this all for the client, making a stress free process.

All buildings by EGR are permanent and comply to Schedule 2 of the Building Regulations 2010.

Feedback from client:

We have just had a beautiful family garden room built by Executive Garden Rooms, John and his team have done a great job and finished with attention to detail to our exact specifications, nothing was too much trouble, keeping us informed every step of the way during construction.

From her first site visit Alison put us at ease and was really great at bringing all the elements together on site from the office and answering any questions we had before, during and after construction, also being in a conservation area she had lengthy negotiations with the planning department and organised a tree survey to obtain great results.

We have had so many compliments from family, friends and neighbours. It’s really difficult to put into words how good our garden room is for us and what great people EGR are!
