PROJECT OVERVIEW

We have designed this superb bespoke Garden Office and landscaped the garden to create a perfect setting for working from home.The building is 10 metres by 4 metres in size.The ground works for this build were on a large scale, for the garden room we removed 60 tonnes of soil, the concrete foundations contained 15 tonnes of type 1 base material, 45 square metres of reinforced steel mesh and on top we pumped 10 cubic metres of concrete along a 60 metre pipe from the roadside.The garden office was beautifully landscaped, 400 granite sets were laid and we barrowed in 7 tonnes of decorative stone. Post lights were set in concrete along the path. We laid 40 paving slabs to create an area for chairs/table.The roof overhangs the building by 900mm at the end, this is reinforced with a steel cantilever.The office has a french door and a single door for easy access, the full height glass panels create a lovely working environment with aspects over the garden. Magnetic operated integrated blinds to all windows control the light into the building. LED recessed down lights; wall lights and emergency lighting were installed internally. Recessed down lights in the soffit and security lights were installed externally which are controlled by a Wisebox light management system, which enables wireless switching by key fob at the house end and garden room end.Inside the garden office, the walls internally were lined with 12mm OSB before plastering, this allows shelving and display boards to be fixed to any part of the wall going forward.We installed 16 Cat6 data points connected to a patch panel; smoke alarm and 10 double power sockets.Build time 18 days.
